Like many, we’re all sitting on our hands and waiting for the next Sea of Thieves alpha test. Today, we’ve gotten word about when that next test will be, along with word of just how many are going to be let into the pirate-themed sandbox.
As before, the current Technical Alpha of the game features a larger world, skeletal monsters, and the addition of the Voyage system among some other updates. The game’s official Twitter account has now revealed that the next test will be held this coming Saturday, April 22nd. In addition, the next alpha test will be expanding the pool by another 28,000 players.
The testing for Sea of Thieves is still currently restricted to Xbox Live account holders who have signed up to the game’s Insider Program. If you’re among those who have completed these steps, you might want to check your inbox. Just in case.
…but when will the alpha expand beyond that? Waah! In all honesty, the fact that Sea of Thieves is expanding its testing pool by that amount has got to mean great things for the game’s advancing development. Either that or Rare is trying to continue to push the envelope of its current build to see whether the ceiling will shatter. Either way, here’s hoping for more development news on this game!
